BMS230 Barrier Mower for Skidsteer
Designed for regular Skid Steers, the BMS230 is designed to be a unit that is capable of efficiently cutting through long, heavy grass or large-diameter brush. Equipped with two AR400 blades featuring a 60″ path width, the BMS230 Barrier Mower is ideal for maintaining fence lines, guardrails, orchards, and vineyards. This fence line mower easily manoeuvres around obstacles such as fence posts, crash barriers, or trees. The Barrier Mower can cut grass, but it’s built to do more than just grass as it can cut small brush as well.
The unit’s rear side, with a 60″ open mouth, is protected by a sheet metal guard that helps discharge cut material away from the operator.
It comes standard with an electrical tilt actuator which is a nice feature if you have rolling terrain.

Extension Spring Mower Head Swing System
The barrier mower is equipped with an extension spring setup that allows the mower head to swing away when it encounters obstacles such as posts or guardrails. The spring absorbs impact forces and automatically returns the head to its original working position after passing the obstacle. This system helps protect the attachment and ensures smooth operation along barriers.
ARMOURED AND SLEEVED HYDRAULIC HOSES
Baumalight hoses are sleeved for the operator and hose protection. A pivoting arm is also standard with a greaseable pin keeping the slack out of the way which protects the hoses from dangerous pinching and strain.

30 AMPS FUSED POWER SUPPLY REQUIRED
The 12V power source must be equipped with a 30 amps fuse for the constant power to the electric swing actuator. If your skidsteer does not have a 30-amp fuse then we suggest running a separate a wire directly connected to the battery using a heavy wire. Fuses rated below 30 amps will fail during normal operation, there is nothing an operator can do to avoid that as the slip clutch in the electric swing actuator is set to draw up to 30 amps before it actuates.This is just for the constant power, the directional signal wires can be fused at a lower amperage
Slasher Blades
Crafted from 1/4″ AR 400 steel, the unique profile of the slasher blades provides increased cutting surface. The blade’s thin reversible profile continuously provides a sharp edge.
Blade Mount
To secure slasher blades to the blade assembly, Baumalight uses Gr. 8 bolts capped off with castle nuts and cotter pins. The blade mount uses a fully welded collar to drop the blade; this spacing helps to reduce the blade from binding while in operation.
2-Way Model
2-Way models feature a durable one piece rotor assembly. Constructed of a single 3/4″ plate of steel and finished with a slasher blade on each end. The 2-way blade models provide up to 26 slashes per second.
FREE BLADE SET
All Barrier Mower come with a free set of replacement blades on a new purchase. These replacement blades are conveniently secured on the wooden shipping skid.

Shield
To protect the output shaft from impact or contamination caused by debris, each model of Barrier Mower is finished off with a heavy-duty output shaft shield.
GREASEABLE PINS
