MS1472 Heavy Duty Fixed Tooth Forestry Mulcher for Skidsteer
The Baumalight MS1472 Brush Mulcher is the largest and most powerful mulcher in the MS series, featuring a wide 84″ path and a 72″ unique rotor design that puts the best of our 900 and 1100 series into one mulcher. Built for skid steers with a minimum carrier weight of 7,500 lbs, the MS1472 is designed to take on the tougher mulching jobs with efficiency and potentially more tooth durability.
The rotor features both P11000 and R9000 teeth. A total of 14 P11000 planer-style teeth are installed in the center section of the rotor, with 7 positioned on each side of the center. These deliver highly efficient cutting in the middle where operators typically take down trees and where it’s easier to watch for stones while mulching on the ground. The remaining 24 R9000 ripper teeth handle tougher material and impacts with rocks toward the sides, where stones are harder to spot. This 1400 series dual-tooth design is the first of its kind (as far as we know), combining efficient cutting and ground-contact durability for maximum performance.
The MS1472 comes with a heavy-duty frame, replaceable wear AR400 alloy liners, and bolt-in liner teeth and maximum cutting depth of 2″ below grade Like other Baumalight skid steer mulchers, the MS1472 uses a chain curtain to control debris and protect the operator, machine, and surroundings during work.
The MS1472 is only with available with our 2-speed motor making it ideal for contractors and operators who need fast, productive clearing on large-scale jobs.

Balanced Performance with P11000 and R9000 Teeth
The 1400 series rotor is equipped with both P11000 and R9000 teeth. A total of 14 P11000 teeth are installed in the center section of the rotor, positioned 7 on each side from the center, while the remaining 24 teeth across the rotor are R9000 teeth. and placed to the side where stones are harder to watch out for and where in general, there is smaller brush to mulch.
The Planer-style P11000 teeth in the middle are placed where an operator normally uses to take down bigger material, the sharpenable teeth deliver efficient mulching and aggressive cutting while sharp. In contrast, the Ripper-style R9000 teeth provide a shredding mulching action that works very well on smaller material. Their double-tipped V-shaped design makes them more resistant to impacts with hard objects such as stones, making them ideal for mulching below grade and along fence lines.
BITE LIMITING ROTOR FOR 11000 SERIES
The Depth Control system on the Baumalight 1400 series mulchers will improve the efficiency of your land-clearing operations. The 1400 series mulcher rotors are engineered to regulate the depth of bite and guide the flow of material while preserving energy for optimal output with less stalling because you can achieve consistent particle size for faster cutting, and better fuel efficiency. We have provided the depth control system for 24″ in the middle of the rotor, positioned 12″ apart from the center, to ensure balanced and efficient performance. The helical teeth arrangement of our mulcher effectively feeds material toward the center of the drum, while depth control rings guarantee the best possible infeed
CASE DRAIN – VENT TO ATMOSPHERE
To prevent pressure relief activation on the motor seal, the MS1472 comes with a case drain line and a vent to atmosphere relief valve. In the event there is a spike in pressure in your hydraulic lines, the case drain will relieve the pressure and drain it back into the return line and back to the tank. If the connection of the case drain (third line) is missed or if the line is blocked, then the case drain will vent to notify you. A properly installed case drain protected by a vent to atmosphere relief valve will save the work of replacing your shaft seal and save you from down time of unexpected maintenance.
Wire Protection Kit
If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in.

The MS1472 Comes With P11000 Planer Teeth & R9000 Ripper Teeth
Planer Tooth Style
The Planer style tooth feeds its appetite for brush bit by bit, taking small bites and providing the most efficient mulching and cutting. Although planer style teeth are efficient, their flat profile make them vulnerable to shattering on impact with rocks and other debris. For that reason, this style of tooth is recommended for cutting applications where efficiency is more important than tooth life. Planer teeth are bolt-on replaceable for quick and easy servicing and replacement even in the field.
Ripper Tooth Style
Ripper style teeth is a general use tooth, offering operators a shredding mulching action. Their v-shaped design makes them less susceptible to impacts with hard objects like stones, making them the better choice when mulching below grade and in fence lines. Ripper teeth are bolt-on replaceable for quick and easy servicing and replacement even in the field.
