Birba Flail Mowers
Birba is a fixed mulcher for cutting grass and woody material up to 2 cm in diameter. Designed for professional use, it comes in working widths ranging from 95 to 155 cm for tractors in the 10 to 40 horsepower range.
Small But Professional
Birba is synonymous with professional machinery thanks to its electronic balancing of the rotors, toothed belt side drive and front gearbox with 540rpm PTO with freewheel. Birba is also suited for working with the tractor in reverse, simply turning the central box round in a few short steps. Birba comes fitted with KIT 21 hammer flails, a solution that strikes an ideal balance between powerful, clean cutting of residue – including woody material – and light weight so as not to make the machine overly heavy. Birba comes complete with a PTO shaft.
Front & Rear Gearbox
Birba can also be rear mounted on reverse-drive tractors. This pairing allows you to get the most out of the equipment. All three models can be used on the front or rear of the tractor to cater to different requirements. For best results, there is a gearbox with dual front and rear mount with a PTO speed of 1,000 rpm.
Electronically Balanced Rotor
The rotors on Maschio mulchers are balanced electronically in order to provide the hammer flails with a high speed of rotation whatever the work condition, low vibrations and reduced power requirements. This means the machine has a longer service life.
Drive Belt Tensioning
Drive belts can be tensioned simply and easily by means of a practical external screw system. All implements are fitted with toothed belts that, unlike plain belts, prove more effective and offer greater performance.
Rotatable Roller Bearings
Maschio mulchers feature bearings comprising two rows of balls, which provide excellent impact resistance and allow them to withstand heavy workloads. Main advantages: long lifespan (30% longer than traditional bearings), high resistance and load capacity, and low maintenance.
Reverse Drive
With the option of turning the linkage mounting and gearbox 180°, Birba can be paired with reverse-drive tractors.
