1P14 – 3 Point Hitch Stump Grinder For Subcompact Tractors

The 1P14 PTO stump grinder is a new model designed for small tractors equipped with hydrostatic drive and Category I 3PH and being released with a pre-production discount in February 2025. This tractor mounted stump grinder model allows you to grind small stumps efficiently with a 16″ Rotor, carrying 12 replaceable round teeth, and has a cutting height of 10″ above ground and 5″ below ground with a cutting wheel speed of 540 RPM. The high-speed carbide tipped teeth feature round tooth construction for superior cutting performance and can be rotated 3 times. The maximum cutting depth per pass is 2″ and the maximum horizontal cut is 18″. With no hydraulics required, this versatile PTO Stump Grinder is controlled with gravity feed which is ideal for tractors with no hydraulic remotes. In case of a sudden advance of the tractor, while grinding, the hinge will automatically swing the grinding head out a bit, keeping even pressure on the stump. This safety feature helps prevent damage to both the equipment and the operator. The stump grinder unit weight is 360 Lbs having a width of 36″ and length of 30″, making it compact and easy to maneuver in tight spaces.

We offer a free 6-pack of teeth with the purchase of a new unit, ensuring you have spare parts on hand and will direct ship any replacement parts to end users if our dealer so requests, we even support warranty work done by end users if that is more ideal for both the dealer and end user. All sales must be through dealers and we will cover a reasonable amount of time if the dealer does warranty work when the end user takes the unit to the dealer for repairs, but many times an end user will spend less time replacing a part at home, then traveling to a dealer so we will support what makes the most sense.

The 1P14 Stump Grinder includes a slip clutch PTO shaft. In the event that the grinder hits a rock, the slip clutch is designed to slip so that the shaft is not damaged. (this started in mid 2020).

For smoother operation, the 1P14 3-point hitch stump grinder features a self-regulating feed function that uses the weight of the grinder head. If you suddenly advance your tractor while grinding, a hinge will automatically swing the grinding head out a bit, keeping even pressure on the stump.

HIGH SPEED TEETH

The concave shaped carbide tip of our High Speed Teeth provide aggressive cutting action by chipping the brush bit by bit. This round tooth is 3 teeth in 1. Simply loosen the lock nut and rotate the tooth to a fresh, sharp cutting edge. This can be done three times, extending the life of each tooth.

The high number of teeth means that each tooth needs to do less work. Each of the Stump Blasters teeth only need to make a small cut, because the work is shared by more of our rugged teeth they last longer and usually only require 2 or 3 replacements at a time. The bolt-on designed teeth allow for straightforward replacement.

All 1P14 Stump Grinder comes with a free set of 6 replacement teeth. These replacement teeth are conveniently shipped in the owner’s manual tub bolted to the frame.

ROTOR

Rotor

The massive ½” thick steel rotor provides the back bone for the Stump Blaster cutting system. It’s the anchor for the carbide tipped teeth. For smooth operation it’s important that the rotor remains solid, with no flexing. The rugged rotor also provides the Stump Blaster with the extra momentum needed when the grinding is tough, making sure the Stump Blaster can power through the hardest stumps.

More Clearance

The Stump Blaster’s carbide teeth extend a full 1-¼ inches from the rotor. This prevents chips and mulch from getting plugged. More chip clearing produces smoother operation and reduces heat build-up that can damage the rotor and cause premature tooth failure.

WLD007601 Extension Kit

If the tractor you are using with the 1P14 measures less than 20 inches from the PTO lock groove to the center of the lower link arm pin holes, you will require the D007601 Extension Kit

How does it work?

The extension brackets attach to the 1P14’s 3PH mounting bracket. The extension brackets allow you to increase the installed length of the PTO shaft and maximize shaft overlay through the 3PH range of movement.

How to Measure?

Measure dimensions (A) from the PTO lock groove to the center of the lower link arm pin holes. If the dimensions (A) are less than 20 inches, you will require the D007601 extension kit.
