Oversized Heavy Duty Rotor Extra large chipper intake backed up by extra large rotor spinning with high momentum. Oversized Opening Extra large chipper intake easily receives crooked branches, reducing the amount of prior trimming required. P3 Pulse The Wallenstein P3 PULSE Electronic Control System optimizes the capacity of the wood chipper. The P3 PULSE consists of an electronic controller and indicator panel. A rugged, user-friendly 4.3″ (109 mm) display is available as an option and replaces the indicator panel. The P3 PULSE tracks the rotor hours-of-operation and keeps the wood chipper working in the peak operating range by matching the feed rate with the rotor speed. As material is put into the chipper, a sensor on the rotor sheave continually monitors rotor rpm. If the rotor slows down under load, the P3 PULSE slows the feed roller speed, which allows the rotor to recover. If the rotor slows to below the minimum rotor speed setting, the P3 PULSE auto-reverses the feed rollers to pull material away from the rotor. When the rotor speed returns to the operating rpm, the P3 PULSE returns the feed rollers to forward motion to resume feeding material into the wood chipper Positional Discharge Deflector The discharge chute is equipped with a positional discharge deflector on the end of the chute to direct the chips exactly where desired. Reversible Rotor Knives Standard reversible rotor knives double the longevity of your knives. Safety Control Bar Forward/reverse control with two stop positions. Shearbolt Protected PTO Drivetrain Move on from a power spike by simply replacing a single shear bolt. Twig Breaker The discharge paddle passes around the twig breaker and helps to break the material into smaller pieces and turn it into mulch.
