Classic Gates have long been the standard for competition to live up to in the Livestock Equipment Industry. These are the Gates and Panels which prestigious organizations such as the CBR depend on year after year. All Classic pasture gates come with a weld-on striker plate or a wood mount for the plunger latch.

Pasture / Farm Gates

Farm gates come in many different widths. Smaller gates start at 8′ wide. Widths jump in two foot increments up to 16′ wide. Wider gates require more support from gate posts. As a result, putting extra stress on under sized gate posts. And ultimately failing over time. Wider gates also require more room to swing open for access and are more cumbersome to open and close. A double gate is just two single gate leafs that meet in the middle. Often times with field type gates, the gates even overlap slightly. Therefore, providing a more secure connecting point. A double gate covers large spans and openings providing more access. Are easier to open and close when compared to one single wide gate and are much easier on the supporting hinge posts.

Gate Hinges 

Classic pasture gates come with metal strap hinges. These are made to be welded to posts or can be heat treated to bolt to wood posts.
